Here’s the Mail and Calendar app with Project NEON
The Windows 10 Redstone 2 is right across the corner. In fact you can get it right now with the Windows 10 Upgrade Assistant tool. Meanwhile we are hearing so much about the upcoming major update in Windows 10 aka the Windows 10 Redstone 3.
The Windows 10 Redstone 3 will bring so many new features and enhancement over Redstone 2 such as My People app, Project NEON and more. Talking about the Project NEON, then earlier we’ve seen so many conceptual images of it. And now we are receiving first glimpse of the Mail and Calendar app with Project NEON.
As you can see in an image above, the whole new Mail and Calendar app shows fluid user interface that sports smooth motions and transitions throughout all of the UI components. And did you noticed that Mail and Calendar switch icon moved from bottom-left corner to the top-left corner? Maybe company will merge the app.
Furthermore, Project NEON heavily relies on animations, blur, and consistency which we can see it in this image. With NEON, Microsoft is introducing a new component called “Acrylic” to the Windows 10 design, which is essentially some blur in the background, sidebar or the navigation of the app.
Windows 10 Redstone 3’s main focus seems to be on unifying the operating system across all devices. Windows Insider will soon gets the first glimpse of the it in upcoming build. Here take a note that Microsoft already started rolling out the first Redstone 3 build for the insider in fast ring.
