Samsung rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy S7, S7 edge to some users

Ta-Da! Here comes Android 7.0 Nougat update for Samsung users. Samsung rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat Update for the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users. After one and half month of Galaxy Beta Program for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge. Now finally company rolling out public version of it.

You might aware that the Samsung ended the beta program last month and said the they will release the public version in January 2017. And now its happening. However couple of days ago we found that the some users are already getting it, but today we are confirming that the company is rolling it out.

The update took the device to the version  number G935FXXU1DPLR and it also includes the latest January Security Patch which just rolled out to the Google Nexus and Pixel devices. And yes keep in mind that Samsung already shut down the beta program so this could be the final build for the public version. Well if you don’t get it right away then don’t worry. You will.

This is more of a “soak test” than a widespread rollout for now, which means only a small number of users are getting the update. If you get the update then please take a backup of device before you install the update and make sure your device have more than 50% of battery life.

Are you one of the lucky few user who got the Android 7.0 Nougat on Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge? Did you find anything new in this update? Let us know in a comment below.
