Google rolled out an update to Google’s beta application which hints about several new features to come in near future. The most exciting features is the ability to input text when talking directly to the Assistant on the Google Pixel. This would look and feel very similar to how you can communicate with the Assistant through Allo. Other changes include Assistant working on Android Wear and an all new feature called “Search gestures”. We still don’t know what this feature can do. You can download the Google beta 6.10 .apk file here or became a tester.
Google Hangouts API
Google announced that they would be shutting down its Hangouts API. It means they are killing all apps that rely on the platform. Google hasn’t addressed this change in a blog post, but has instead updated the Hangouts FAQ page. And they sent an email to the developers who were using the API.
