Upcoming Windows 10 Insider builds will hold massive improvements in Microsoft Edge and Taskbar
With the announcement of Windows 10 Creators Update Microsoft demonstrated some of upcoming features and improvements in the Windows 10. But so far we haven’t seen any notable new features yet. All the previous Windows 10 Insider preview builds only have fixes and few improvements.
But from now on upcoming Windows 10 Insider Preview builds will hold some massive improvements in Microsoft Edge and in taskbar. With the Windows 10 Anniversary Update Microsoft bring extensions in Microsoft Edge and since then it has stayed pretty much unchanged in terms of UI since it’s release over a year ago. But not any more.
With the Windows 10 Creators Update Microsoft Edge is getting all new UI. It will have some new and unique features may be on their way to Internet Explorer’s successor that made debut with Windows 10. There will be an option of ‘setting tabs aside’ so you can see multiple tabs at a time.
And there will be all new designed page for the ‘History’. Which also holds thumbnail of the visited pages along with last opened time.
In addition to that Microsoft also adding more security to the Edge with Windows Defender Application Guard. the Windows Defender Application Guard is designed to stop attackers from establishing a foothold on the local machine or from expanding out into the rest of the corporate network.
For example when an employee browses to a site that is not recognized or trusted by the network administrator, Application Guard steps in to isolate the potential threat. Application Guard’s enforcement includes completely blocking access to memory, local storage, other installed applications, corporate network endpoints, or any other resources of interest to the attacker.
Remember that Microsoft People feature announced with Windows 10 Creators Update. After the announcement there no news on it. Upcoming (after 3-4) Windows 10 Insider build will have that feature. However, Microsoft just pause all the Windows Insider update because they getting ready to start releasing PC builds to Insiders using Unified Update Platform. But they will resume update for insider after some internal testing.
Since Microsoft have to deliver the next major update in early 2017, so we will see these new changes after 3-4 Windows Insider builds in fast ring (source confirmed). Stay tune for more update.
