Xiaomi to launch Mi Max 2 on May 25; likely to go on sale in China first
Xiaomi to launch the successor of Mi Max on May 25. Company launched a dedicated website for the launch, which teases upcoming Xiaomi Mi Max 2.
In addition with the teaser the website also reveals some features of the upcoming device. Mi Max 2 will sports 6-inch of display and it is powered by the 5000 mAh battery which last long for 36 hours. The Mi Max 2 will be a mid range affordable device and will be available in the China first. Of course they are planing to launch this in India too.
Furthermore, the smartphone will be available in 2 different variants. The 4 GB of RAM version is powered by the Snapdragon 626 SoC and the 6 GB RAM variant powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC. For more device specification we are still sticking with that old rumors which says 6.44 inch full-HD display. Mi Max 2 will feature a 12 MP of primary Camera with Sony IMX378 sensor and 5 MP of front facing camera. Company is expected to introduce 128 GB of internal storage with the device.
Talking about hardware then the Mi Max 2 will sport all-metal body and said to have dual speaker grilles at the bottom edge of the device and a USB Type-C port, of course a 3.5mm audio jack, and the fingerprint scanner. The Snapdragon 626 SoC variant priced at CNY 1,499 (approx Rs. 14,000), and Snapdragon 660 SoC variants priced at and CNY 1,699 (approx Rs. 15,900).
